About the P&C

The Waniora Public School P&C meets from 7:00 – 8:30pm the third Tuesday of the month during school terms in the staff room located in the main administration building.

Principal Gavin Hoy is in attendance at meetings, or a senior teacher will attend in the event of absence. Parents and citizens are kept up to date with plans and changes concerning the school, Department guidelines and policies, school grounds and business. All parents and citizens of the Waniora School community are welcome to become members of P&C and/or attend and contribute ideas and be involved in discussion in a relaxed meeting environment. By attending P&C meetings you can be involved in decision making and hear directly from the Principal on matters concerning the school.

How P&C Funds Are Used

The money that the P&C raises through a variety of fundraising activities is used to benefit all students. In 2015 funds were used to provide reading resources, class room resources and flexible class room furniture. The largest fundraising event, the biannual Waniora fete is coordinated by P&C members and all funds raised are used to benefit the school community.

Fostering a Caring School Community

The P&C is a great way to engage with other parents and to foster a close and caring school community of parents, children and teachers. Discussion of new ideas is always welcome at P&C meetings and we are keen to hear about any issues affecting your children as suggestions for improving the school environment, school activities and fundraising initiatives.
